With Calm, Turquoise Waters and Soft Powdery Sand, it’s no surprise that  Bahamian Beaches are recognized as some of the Best in the World. Perhaps the most famous is Treasure Cay Beach in The Abacos. It was recently voted as one of the Best In The Region by Caribbean Travel & Life.

Other stunning Beaches receiving recognition are:

Gold Rock Beach on Grand Bahama Island, Cape Santa Maria Beach on Long Island and Harbour Island Beach.

Bahamian Shores are so beautiful, that most of the time Pictures don’t do them any justice.

With over 2,000 Breathtaking Islands and Cays, and with the Clearest Water on Earth, it’s no wonder visitors come from all around the world to sink their toes into miles of pure white, and in some places, Pink Sand

Many Bahamian Beaches have been voted “Best in the World” by numerous publications, and it’s not uncommon to find a Celebrity or two strolling along the Shores.

Located just 50 miles off Florida’s coast, Bimini is the closest Bahamian island to the United States, boasting miles of Pristine Beaches.

Bimini consists of Two Main Islands — North Bimini Island and South Bimini Island — and numerous Cays.

The history of Bimini is as fascinating as the Islands themselves. Famed Explorer, Ponce de León, was allegedly lured to Bimini in the Early 1500s in search of the ‘Fountain of Youth’, and a site still bears that name today.

Due to Bimini’s close proximity to the United States, the Island served as a convenient Offshore speakeasy and Liquor Store during the Prohibition Era. Rumrunners used to store their stash on the shores and in the S.S. Sapona, now a wreck in the water. And speaking of Rum, Ernest Hemingway called Bimini his summer home and Jimmy Buffett spent time here too while writing his Infamous Book.

The Shipwreck Sapona sits in 15 feet of water, just a few miles off  South Bimini. You might find an interesting Souvenir from the past as you swim among the multitudes of Tropical fish. The surrounding area is a Prime Fishing drop, and the Wreck itself is both a Navigational Landmark for Boaters and a Popular Scuba Diving and Snorkeling site. Some Charter Guests even dare to Dive 40 feet into the Ocean from atop the Ship. Swim with Grand Triggerfish, Puffer Fish and Blacktip Sharks, and keep your eyes peeled on the Sandy Bottom for Stingrays and an abundance of Conch Shells.

This Underwater Museum on Bimini’s powdery Ocean floor holds many secrets waiting to be Explored!

Lying in a perfectly straight row, these Stones and Beautiful square blocks extend 1,500 feet. They are said to be part of the Road System of the Lost Continent of Atlantis and resemble a similar site found in the Mediterranean Sea.

This natural freshwater spring pumps up lithium and sulfur inside a Saltwater swamp in the Mangroves of Bonefish Creek. Accessible by Boat only, it is named for the Healing Properties reported by those who swim in it.

Just Southeast of Bimini, Our Captains are Privy to a beautiful Secret Beach, only Accessible by Boat, that boasts lovely Crystal Blue Waters surrounding a Private Cay.

This quaint Cay is a perfect place to Socialize with Wild Stingrays, as they are known to swim to Close Proximity of the Beach and Interact with Visitors!
